Cody came out a performed an inspection of my fireplace/chimney system. Though the repairs are extensive for my 60 year old house, he patiently went over the photos taken and explained the issues and options for repairs. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I cannot recommend Lords Chimney highly enough! After having a previous chimney company inspect and clean my chimney earlier this year, I decided to have Lords Chimney perform a second inspection—and I am so glad I did.

From the beginning, Lords Chimney was thorough, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to actually inspect the chimney carefully rather than simply giving me a quick assessment. Their findings uncovered several issues that had not been brought to my attention during the previous inspection, including significant buildup that made it clear the chimney had not been properly deep cleaned.

Most importantly, they identified safety concerns that I absolutely needed to know about and advised me not to use the chimney until the issues could be properly addressed. I genuinely appreciate that they took the safety aspect seriously rather than simply telling me what I wanted to hear.

The level of detail in their inspection and the explanation of their findings gave me a much better understanding of the condition of my chimney and what needs to be done to correct it. I left the inspection feeling informed and confident that I had received an honest assessment.

After my experience with the previous company, finding a company that was this thorough and transparent was a huge relief. Lords Chimney clearly takes pride in doing the job correctly and putting the customer's safety first.

Absolutely amazing experience with Cody from Lord’s Chimney. He’s extremely knowledgeable about everything to do with chimneys and also some roof and construction knowledge. He’s was friendly, helpful, prompt, informative and just one of the best technicians I’ve had in my home. He was patient with my questions and let me watch the camera as he fed it up the chimney and explained everything he saw. Then he checked the attic and roof and told us about our safety concerns. He was patient when I wanted to put my phone on speaker so my husband could hear. The report is very thorough with photos and explanations. We will be using Lord’s Chimney and Cody to fix the safety and construction issues he found in our chimney. As he was leaving he saw my step ladder next to my attic ladder that I have to use because I struggle opening and closing the attic. He nicely offered to close it for me!  Highly recommended for everyone to have a thorough chimney inspection before it gets cold- and call Lord’s Chimney and Cody to have it done! After two plumbers and a handyman had been unable to diagnose and repair a leaky gas pipe. Miguel with Lords was able to figure out the problem and fix it. Just as importantly, he identified and corrected the water intrusion into the chimney that had caused the leaky pipe problem in the first place.

Miguel was very patient during the estimating process and gave me plenty of time to consider the work without any pressure. I initially thought the estimate seemed a little high, so I contacted several others. I found that other qualified companies were comparably priced. I did receive some lower estimates, but those were generally from handyman-type contractors who did not seem to have the same experience or qualifications for this type of work.

The repair required removing stone to access the gas leak inside the wall. They also addressed the original installation issues and deteriorating mortar that were allowing water into the chimney. The job took a little longer than originally anticipated, but they completed everything for the price estimated.

Miguel personally did the work with two coworkers, Joe and Mel, who were both great. They did high-quality work, were genuinely concerned about my satisfaction, communicated well about their timing and arrival, and cleaned everything up when they were finished. I felt completely comfortable having them around my home.

I have a second chimney that will eventually need some preventative maintenance, and I plan to have Lord’s Chimney handle that work as well. I highly recommend them.

I especially like the opening now because it immediately tells a prospective customer: other people couldn’t solve this, but Lord’s Chimney did—and they fixed the underlying cause too.
