Become A Field Technician

One position we need is that of a field technician. At Lords Chimney, we take pride in the fact that our sweeps are CSIA trained and certified, so this position will require a commitment to earning and maintaining this certification. Along with this, we expect our team members to show up on time and work well with others, so that we can all do our best to better serve the surrounding neighborhoods and cities.

To become a field technician, you must be able to:

• become CSIA certified
• utilize technology to identify & solve customer issues
• legally work and drive in the state of Texas
• lift at least 50 lbs
• work well with heights (on ladders & roofs) and in enclosed places
• use power and hand tools
• do basic math & take measurements
• arrive on time & work irregular hours, as needed
• communicate respectfully with customers
• communicate well with fellow employees

You may not have a history of felony charges or any physical or mental problems that might interfere with getting the job done safely and efficiently.

Train as a Chimney & Dryer Vent Helper

This position requires helping out both the field technicians and the office personnel with their day-to-day activities. The requirements for this position fall under the same guidelines as the field technician position. Requirements for this position include being able to:

• work within the United States and Texas
• drive in Texas
• lift at least 50 lbs
• function safely at heights, on ladders, and on roofs
• work in enclosed spaces
• use hand and power tools
• take measurements & do basic math calculations
• arrive on time
• work irregular hours, as needed
• communicate well & work with fellow employees
• communicate respectfully with customers

As with our field tech position, you may not have any felony charges on your record or any physical or mental problems that may make you or other unsafe on the job.

Join Our Office Personnel Team

Love the chimney sweep world, but want a position that’s a bit less hands-on? Consider joining our office personnel team! As with our field techs, you must be able to work in the state of Texas and be able to show up on time with a good attitude. You will also need to know how to:

• complete all assigned office duties
• assist field techs & other office personnel, as needed
• use a computer, as well as various software programs, including Microsoft Office (experience with Quickbooks is a huge plus)
• understand & follow procedures
• communicate & solve problems over the phone
• recognize problems, find solutions & implement them quickly
• arrive on time
